This five day city break allows you to embrace the best of St Petersburg and is sure to spark the desire to come back for more!Day 1: St Petersburg In and around St Petersburg On arrival in Russia’s second capital you will be met by our driver and transferred to your hotel in the city centre. Relax or begin your adventure with independent exploration.
Day 2: St Petersburg After breakfast meet your guide at the hotel reception and get your bearings on a morning city tour to explore the best of Russia’s former capital. Your city tour will include a ride along Nevsky Prospect lined with marble palaces of Russian royalty and aristocracy, with most fashionable boutiques and art salons arranged in old settings of the 18th century; the Admiralty; the Monastery of Alexander Nevsky (one of four Russia’s Lavras with its magnificent Trinity Cathedral and its cemetery where Dostoevsky, Tchaikovsky and other world celebrities were buried); St. Isaac Cathedral with «The Bronze Horseman» unveiled in Senate Square; the Resurrection Cathedral on the Spilt Blood, one of the most unusual monuments of Russian Orthodox architecture built on the spot where Alexander II was assassinated and many more. Explore onward to the Peter and Paul Fortress and uncover its intriguing history.
Day 3: St Petersburg Today is the day of great experiences: you will visit the Treasury of the world culture - the Hermitage. Stand back and surround yourself with one of the world’s largest art collections and view masterpieces from all time greats including Da Vinci, Monet and Michelangelo.
Day 4: St Petersburg Let’s leave St Petersburg for a while and enjoy an out-of-town excursion to Pushkin to admire the golden domes and the Amber Room of Catherine’s Palace.
Day 5: St Petersburg Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before transferring to the airport for your flight home as you wave goodbye to Russia, until next time!
